Purse Organisers

Introducing the Purse Organiser, the little sister of the bigger Bag Organiser. This simple pocket-style handbag organiser will fit smaller bags as well as bigger bags, depending on how you have it rolled up. Sewed using strong cotton fabric as the Bag Organiser, it unrolls to a 25" length and 4.5" in height, as seen below. It has 6 pockets ranging from 2" to 6" width. Fits most of your handbag essentials like namecard holder, hand sanitiser, phone, pocket hand cream, lipstick, pen, tissues and small purse.
It comes in 2 colours like the Bag Organiser, khaki and dark blue.
Here, the Purse Organiser lightly rolled up for a purse to fit in the centre, if you use a longer purse like I do. The flexibility of this organiser is it fitting whatever width of your handbag. As such, it stays while you take out your purse or phone from the pocket. It is also easy to find the pocket again to replace it. It's pretty much the extra pockets you need in every handbag! So, the next time you change handbags, just take out the entire organiser and place it in your next bag. RM38

Big is Beautiful

Finally! An oversized bag catered to my whim. The MOTH will attest to my staying-up-late one night trying to figure out this pattern! It was worth the extra hours. This Oversized Shoulder Bag - approx. 18"(h) x 21"(w), is everything I envisioned my bag to be - big, roomy and bold with inconspicous details. Pleated bottom for the extra room and check out the braided fabric handles (16" end to end).

The interior is simply fastened with a magnetic snap closure and has a pocket for the mobile phone. Will be transfering the Bag Organiser in here for the essentials and plenty of space left for a cardi, book and maybe the sink, too.

Keep this bag in mind later when you're making your Christmas list for the females in your circle!

Let's Get Organised!

So, here's the story; I'm guilty of owning lots of bags and guiltier by the day for introducing more bags to you! But the fact is, we love our bags and the more, the merrier. Having to swap bags quite regularly, I've decided to sew a Bag Organiser (what a feat!!). There are many forms of this being sold in the departmental stores but I personally like the ones made from fabric - it's washable and flexible in terms of fitting into various bags. It is especially useful if you're like me, who loves totes and big bags. Beats having to rummage through it looking for car keys!

This Bag Organiser measures at 10"(w) x 5.75"(h) x 3" (gusset). It fits the Reversible Tote beautifully and all bags that size or larger. Any bags smaller, you don't need an organiser, you're organised enough! Hat's off to you...

It has a total of 10 pockets - 5 on the exterior and 5 inside. As you can see in the photo above, the 3 pockets here fit my bottle of hand sanitiser, mobile phone and pen.

Over on the opposite side, 2 wider pockets fit a namecard holder (or a pocket calculator) and a packet of tissues. I've also added 2 short straps on both ends so you can lift the Bag Organiser out of your bag to another easily. It also serves as a key fob if your car/home keys have a crab-claw clip.
Here's a view from the top. The interior of the Bag Organiser consists of 3 pockets on one side and another 2 on the other. The pockets hold plasters, mozzie patches, ointment, hand moisturiser, torch and Swiss-knife, hairclips, sewing kit and a couple more tiny stuffs. The 3"-wide gusset fits my long purse and leaves enough space for keys (or in my case, a 2-lipstick case).
Now, let's see if I can sew more of this! ;-)

One of my favoritos, la coleccion Latetia. The complete set with a Reversible Tote, a Slouch Bag and a Foldover Clutch.

Coming Soon!

The all-new Foldover Clutch. Stylish and convenient for an evening out with the girls. Plus, the handy wristlet strap is great for those hands-free moments on the dance floor! The clutch measures approximately 10.5"(w) x 6"(h) folded - just the perfect size for a purse, mobile phone and some makeup. Fully interfaced with a magnetic snap closure. I've also made a matching fabric button but not for all clutches. Found some nice looking buttons! Coming soon in September (fingers crossed).

NEW! Slouch Bag

Introducing the Reversible Tote's sidekick - the Slouch Bag. It's a handbag that slouches on the top giving it a hobo-feel. The inside is lined with cotton fabric, has a pocket for the phone/keys and a pen slot. I used a magnetic snap for the closure. Dimensions are 11"(h) x 11"(w) x 2.5"(gusset). Strap is 21" from end to end. There's plan to extend the length of the straps for a cross-chest option.

Taking it from the French ladies I see in the Metro, it's actually quite fitting to use the Slouch Bag and Reversible Tote (on the crook of your elbow) of the same fabric together for work. The tote fits a foldable umbrella, reading material and even a trenchcoat comfortably. I think I'll be making a pair for my son's class teacher! For her books and pens....

Reversible Tote

Reversible Totes are simply practical for holidays! This idea caught up with me during a holiday recently in the Middle East. We had a mate who was showing up everyday with a different tote to match whatever she was wearing! Beautiful as they were, I cannot imagine the size of her luggage bag for that week-long trip! So, here I was again idling...

The possibilities are endless with reversible totes because of the choices of fabric you can have. This one for example has 2 colour schemes of the same print design (see above). And flip it inside out, there's plain good ol'blue. I also like the fact that the exuberant print peeps through from inside lending it a very cheeky character! I'm going out shopping for more fabrics!!

Mum-in-law's Hand Tote

My mum-in-law's always carrying a small paperbag instead of a handbag for her mahjong sessions, to the hairdresser or visits to the doctor! She says that it's inconspicious and wouldn't be a target for snatch thieves. Well, she has a good point but I still think it'll be nice if she'd carry this small inconspicious tote (size of her paperbag). I even made her a pocket inside for her reading glasses. Let's hope she'll like it. p/s: It's completely reversible, too!
